Concrete Cancer Repair Mortar
Repair Mortars are used to reinstate the structural integrity of a concrete slab. Repair mortars are heavy duty, cementitious mortars with high compressive strength and abrasion resistance. Shrinkage compensation allows the mortar to be applied in large or small areas.
Concrete Spalling (commonly refered to as Concrete Cancer)
Recommended uses
- Patching and repairing damaged concrete
- Repairs to spalled concrete caused by corrosion of steel reinforcement
- Durable
Features & Benefits
- Shrinkage compensation allows for long term dimensional stability
- High ultimate strengtht
- High abrasion and impact resistance
- Durable
Once detected concrete spalling requires investigation and action to remove and repair. Investigation will allow the source of the concrete cancer damage to be identified and remedied, reducing the probability of ongoing problems. Repair allows finished surfaces to be replaced.
We have available a variety of suppliers of different technologies. The choice of repair system is determined by the nature of, or cause of, the concrete cancer.
Concrete cancer repair systems include Bostik, BASF, Parchem and Sika brands.
We will recommend the most appropriate technology after inspecting and assessing the environment in which the concrete cancer/spalling is present.
